The mission of Twin Oaks Elementary, a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, is to challenge all students to develop their unique potential, become life-long learners, and value their community through a school distinguished by:

Strategy 1: We will facilitate learning experiences, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) that ignite passion, develop enduring skills, and feature relevance, choice, and purpose for each student.
  • Redesign the library and lab space into a 21st Century learning environment.

  • Design classroom spaces and practices to ensure relevant and accessible learning opportunities for all students.

  • Develop and implement a system of extension and enrichment opportunities that incorporate student choice.

Strategy 2:  We will provide a system of academic and social-emotional supports to strengthen respect, resilience, and leadership in a diverse community.
  • Enhance understanding and use of academic supports to ensure equitable access to effective instruction

  • Continue, strengthen, and align leadership and social emotional supports.

     
Strategy 3:  We will engage in effective communication to involve the community in programs and opportunities that enrich the home/school partnership.
  • Engage our school community in our academic, behavioral, and social emotional multi-tiered system of supports and Leader In Me program.
